What is GMAT and when should one start preparing for it?

Is it preferable to opt for GMAT? I am in first year of B.E, so when sholud I start preparing for it?

GMAT is Graduate Management Aptitude Test. Its entrance test for business schools in US. Its good to start as early as possible. Depends on your mental ability. I would suggest start preparing now.

though validity of the score is five years,colleges insists on scores of less than two years old. in view of the above,if you want to apply for admission in aug./sept. 2014, you should have your it ready by jan 2014.enable you to submit the score along with your application. and also score validity will be till jan.2016. you can start preparation by june 2013. same is the case with GRE TOEFL. but bear it in mind that for MBA, colleges prefer students with 2 to 3 years work experience. you may suitably adjust/slide your preparations. you should cross the bridge when it comes,and the fact is the bridge is far,for now.

GMAT is delivered as a computer adaptive test (CAT). In the CAT, the computer screen displays one question at a time, chosen from a very large pool of questions organized by their content and level of difficulty.

Hi Ami, First u study about GMAT more, then when you will be in final year of BE than start preparing for GMAT entrance test than u enroll yourself and go for the test, this test is online. The marks of this test is valid for 5 yrs but it is best if u apply within first 2yrs. Thanks shivan
