What is the best way to prepare for the IELTS exam?

Paul - 2010-04-20 15:30:41 - Standards Testing

I have taken the IELTS before and failed to obtain the required band score so I need to know what I am doing wrong.

Best Answer:

From what I've seen in the candidates I've coached, it most likely is the combination of several small mistakes rather than one or two big ones. Try posting essays here (or anywhere else for that matter) in order to get some feedback. I'd be more than happy to proof-read if you want me to, but remember the whole process is slow and required loads of discipline from you. If you're up for it, go ahead!

You need to know the exact techniques to answer questions in the IELTS. The IELTS examiners are looking for certain specific skills in your answers, so you need to develop those skills to answer the questions effectively. You can check out an ebook I have found to be very effective called, Success In IELTS at http://ieltstips.org/ielts-online.html.
