What is the most effective way to learn English?

I learn some English from textbooks . But i don't think it's enough. I always watch some English movies and English radio which can help do some speaking and listening exercises. I like to repeat their conversation.Reading English news can help me to remember new words.Of course,i must thanks my friends who always reduce the speed of English-speaking. I think i need learn more real english such as speaking, ways of thinking, idioms. Thank you very much for your suggestions . ^_^
