HAve you ever taken TOEIC/TOEFL/IELTS speaking?what matters are considered in order to get a high score? Thank?

I just wonder whether the speed, the chosen of vocabulary and the intonation are matters? I have been practicing by using a text book. Although, the answers are great but they do not sound natural. It is more like a robot or a professional announcer asnwers the questions. I just wonder whether the more we talk can effect the score...and whether if we sounds like a CNN announcer can give a good influence on our score? Thank you

Best Answer:

No idea about TOEIC, but for the other two: - Speed isn't too important as long as it's not too slow or too fast. Try favouring accuracy, fluency and clarity regardless of how many words per minute you utter. - Vocabulary works only if it's natural. When talking about a scientific topic, using acronyms and big words is all right, but not elsewhere: TOEFL and IELTS examiners don't give you a higher score based on your inner thesaurus. - The 'CNN announcer' role works great if you pull it off; if you don't, it's a disaster. So be sure before you try it. The core of a good interview is to be natural.
