Why do they allow little boys to dream up advertising copy?

Gelato Italiano ice cream's crass mag ads "Forbidden Italian temptations" has been banned by the ASA. Complaints to the ASA were that the suggestion of a kiss between a priest and a nun was offensive and demeaning to people who followed a religious vocation. The company said its advert was intended as a "light-hearted, tongue-in-cheek portrayal". Why don't they stick a cone up Signore Gelato's ar se for that real tongue-in-cheek sensation?
