How to prepare for this scholarship interview?

I have an interview tomorrow morning for a United University Professions scholarship (I was already selected as a finalist). The letter I received said they will ask about my demonstrated commitment to social, labor union, and humanitarian ideals. As a college student planning to become a teacher, how could I prepare for these questions? Thanks in advance!

Best Answer:

Like any interview, I would think of questions they may ask you and prepare outlines of your answer. Remember to back up your answers to questions with specific examples. In this case, they apparently are going to ask you about commitment to social, labor union, and humanitarian ideals. Think about your commitment in these areas now and come up with good examples and good ways of presenting these examples (positive spin, perhaps). I am assuming if you are a finalist and that is their criteria, you must have some commitment in those areas, so whatever got you to that point, be prepared to talk about. Maybe the fact that you want to be a teacher? Talk about how children are our future and how you want to make a difference, you know, that whole spiel etc etc. Be confident, make eye contact, and speak clearly!
