How can I improve my English pronunciation?

I live in UK and I would like to find a way very effective to improve my pronunciation in English. Sometimes people don't understand even though I'm saying the right thing and using the correct Grammar. I'd appreciate any help.

You can use a tts (text to speech) program that can read to you in English. This way you can hear the words being pronounced. I suggest having a good voice installed in the computer when using tts. A free program TypeIt ReadIt http://www.schoolfreeware.com can read back to you using tts. Give it a try. I hope this helps you out.
