How can I fix my english pronunciation?

I’m learning English as a second language and I’ve got problems pronouncing the “s” and “r”. Don’t get me wrong, I can pronounce them, but they always sound wrong. I mean my “s” is always too hard, and very sharp and my “r” too deep and sometimes almost “rolling”. Oh and I’m German. So it would be nice if you had some advice for me on how to improve my pronunciation.

Best Answer:

If you know anyone that speaks English as a native language, watching them speak (not just listening) and having them repeat sounds for you would do you well. English "r"s and "s"s are meant to be gentler than those in German, so try saying them quietly. "r" should flow into the next letter immediately, and "s" should not have a vibrational sound, but rather just be air. Otherwise, don't fix it! Haha. Americans love European accents. Okay, well, I do.
