My mother tongue is TAMIL. Even if i see a new word i don't find any problem in pronouncing that. Whereas if i see a new word in English i find it hard to get the right pronunciation. How can i identify the right pronunciation of a new English word? Is there any step to get the right pronunciation?

Hello Rather than learning how to read from the dictionary or even listening to presentations on the web the quickest and the most entertaining way that you could use to learn how to speak new words in English is by watching English movies probably with subtitles in the beginning which would assist you in your speech and after you are able to understand the normal flow of conversation you could switch to watching the normal channels like Star Movies, HBO, Star World, Zee Studio... It takes time...So don't get dejected, take it slow and you will definitely learn

you can see dictionary.com or wordweb on internet. You can hear the pronunciation there. You need to use head-phones and click the speaker symbol.

try to read it syllable by syllable. and see if its spelled similarly as another word. like candle and handle. but you never really know for sure until you look it up.
