Is it possible for someone to learn english by just hearing others speak it?

My mom wants to learn english by hearing my brother and I speaking and watching tv in english. Will she be able to learn to speak the language that way.

It all depends how much you interact with your mum whether you do it daily for a year or two or if you stop after a few months. You need to be committed.

yea it is possable tht is how my grandparents learned english but it will take a while give it time learnign a dfferent launguguage

what you would learn is idiomatic english. You would learn local slang and the rudimentary basics of communication but you wouldnt learn much structural english.
Thatg said, learning any language is a challenge worth facing. Yourt mother will find that she gets aslong better if she speaks even a little english than none at all. Help her learn. By doing so you will improve your language skills. But, never forget your mother tongue. It maight make the difference in getting a job some day.
ESL night classes will help too.
English is one of the hardest languages to learn because it is so filled with slang and idioms. But she can do it and you can and should help
