I have to produce 6 slides on a PowerPoint of racism in the 1930's during America. I am finding it hard to get good information during this era. Things I have to include are what life was like, what racism actually is and importantly how it relates to Of mice and men the novel. I want to engage the class, not bore them, and still get a good grade. All of this needs to be 2 mins. Any tips?

Crooks in of mice and men was a victim of racism. He lives alone and his only window has horse manure piled up against it. Curly and people on the ranch are racist towards Crooks because back then a coloured person was a novelty and this seperated Crooks from the others. Rascism is the reason Crooks is so lonely and this point is illustrated in Crooks' shock at Lenny wanting to spend time with him. Crooks enjoys having the upperhand in a relationship for the first time but pushes Lennie too far and has to calm him down.
