I think this is what you need. It's a website where you type your words or sentences, choose the speaker/ language and then click on 'Say it'. You can listen to the word as many times as you like. http://www.acapela-group.com/text-to-speech-interactive-demo.html Here you get the definition of your word and you can listen to it too: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/boat

go to http://www.m-w.com then enter the word in the search box to get the definition and hit the speaker button right next to it to hear the pronunciation.

Hello there. :) If you go to http://www.dictionary.com you can search the word that you want to hear in the search field in the top right-hand corner. When the search loads, most words will have an audio pronunciation of them. Just click on the speaker icon. :) NB: This will be in American English, not British English. This means that some of the pronunciations will be different.
