How long after you get your belly button pierced do you have to wait to wear high waisted jeans?

I really want to get my belly button pierced, but I compete in rodeo and wear wranglers which come up to my belly button. How long would I have to wait before I could wear them again, or would I even be able to wear them ever again? Also, how long do you have to wait after you get it done before you can go swimming? Thanks!!

Well i would wait until after it quits hurting. and if you do have to wear those jeans but tape or a band aid over it so that it wont tear, because I had a friend that was in dance line and she ripped hers out from her uniform. so you dont want that to happen l0l.

probably 2 weeks or so. Denim will rub, so if it starts to hurt, take them off.
