What is the best way for a latino immigrant to learn english?

My friend has lived here for 5 years, and he works in a restaurant all day long. He just doesn't have time to experience immersion. And he really really wants to learn. I teach him by speaking with him in english, but I really want to buy him a program. Are there any good programs for learning english, for latinos? (books or computer programs) I personally didn't find Rosetta Stone helpful for me, but I'll resort to it if I hear good things about the english one. Thanks in advance

I've never seen a good computer program for learning English. They might be good as a possible supplement, but not as a sole teaching method. If your friend has a little time after work that he could spare, I would recommend a class at a community college. You could contact some local colleges for him and ask if they have an "English as a second language" program. Many do, and many are free or provide financial aid to make it free.
