Best Answer:

GMAT process on exam day. Reach the test center on time with two forms of ID. If you are a Citizen of India, Bangladesh or Pakistan, then Passport is required. You will have to put your cell phone etc in a locker. You will be assigned a computer for 4 hours. During the test you can go to the tolilet after signing out and signing in at the door. The test consists of Essays, Quant, Verbal, with two 5 min breaks between those. At the end of the test you will be asked whether or not you want the test to count. Then you will be shown your final score on the computer. The test center will give you a printout of the score with their stamp. Writing score will come later. Unlike GRE, you can select the 4 free Universities to report AFTER you see youe score. So if you do better, you can report to better Universities from your pre-decided list. Then you will collect your stuff from the locker and head out of the test center.

There are review books for the GMAT at your library or bookstore. There are probably even review materials on line. Try a search for "GMAT" on Yahoo or Google.

If you want free sample GMAT questions, check out http://www.testsandtutors.com Exam day is very strict. You'll need a passport for check-in. You won't be able to bring anything into your testing booth. The test center workers will provide you with a laminated sheet of paper and a magic marker with which to take notes and solve equations. Before you begin the exam, you have the opportunity to send your scores to the b-schools to which you plan to apply, but this isn't such a great choice, because if you mess up your GMAT, the schools will receive your score. I believe it's better to know your score first, and then send. First up will be your essays. You'll have two of them. They are pretty grueling, and I suggest including essay writing in your GMAT preparations. After essays, you'll have about a 5 minute break. (pull your red bull can from the locker they assign you and drink up). After that its the quant section, then another 5 minute break, then the verbal section, and you're done. The good news is that you'll know your exam score immediately after you finish your test. You'll have to wait about a month to receive your essay score.
