Honestly, what helped me to learn a foreign language was just taking every opportunity I could to talk with people. Also, music and movies help a lot too.

You can try using the speaking and listening tests for IELTS or TOEFL available on the web. I took some tests over and over to see if I'm improving each time. There are a lot of sites that offer this. Try the following: http://www.testwise.com/page/page.cfm/review http://www.gettoefl.com/practice.htm http://www.ieltshome.com/ Good luck!

Switch on the television to CNN or Fox or any of the American news channels and pay close attention, watch a TV serial and pay full attention to the dialogs and whats happening around. Spend as much time as you can with people who speak English ALL the time, finally practice...use whatever you hear.

Just listen and listen and then listen again.By this formula you think you are wasting time but after a while you will find out that you have had a great break through .
