Best ways to prepare for English AP test?

Next school year I will being taking the 11th grade AP English test and I would love any advice that would help me be successful. Thanks : )

which AP class are u taking Language and Composition or Literature. I took AP Language and Comp my junior year, and it came as a shock to me, the essays and the analysis i had to do. My advice is to review literary devices such as syntax, foreshadowing, diction, tone, irony etc..... this will help improve your writing and they way in which you analyze the texts you will be reading through out the year. ( FYI this is only for AP Language Comp, i dont know whats in store for u if u take AP LIterature)

Buy a test prep book either from Barrons or Princeton, it helps with all the AP exams Make sure to reread some lines if you don't understand it and question what the author's pov, rhetoric, stance on certain issues - you will need this tool for the reading section and for answering an essay prompt Try to practice on your writing skills and concentrate how you can make your essay sound a bit scholarly and natural. Good writers always write naturally. Good luck - AP English was a lot of reading writing for me
