Ask someone who speaks proper grammer to help you in this area. In addition, have a few friends 'correct' your mistakes when you say them, right then and there. Just remember, don't personalize it, they are trying to help you. Some communities offer English as a second language sessions, which would not be like attending college. Also, check out your local community colleges, they may also have the same class sessions. If you lived closer to me, I'd help you out!!!

well, the LAST place i would ask for help in english is here.
Just look around. About 5% can speak and write well enough to pass the 3rd grade.
School is your best bet. A tutor the next best

For one, you can start typing in Microsoft Word, in which you can run "spellcheck" and it will show you all your spelling errors. Also, get into the habit of reading the dictionary every now and then, scroll through the pages, look for words you want or find words you think are interesting - this will reinforce you to memorize how they are spelled. Also, read more for leisure, everything from newspapers, to books and magazines - the more you read the more you will expand your vocabulary and learn spelling.

Strunk and White's book: The Elements of Style is a good place to start! I could also suggest going around to the thrift stores...Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc. to get some really good deals on used textbooks!!Good luck and good for you wanting to improve yourself!

People speak the way they were spoken to while they were growing up. ie) accent, proper grammar. You will need to take a class or get a tutor. English is actually one of the hardest languages to learn and speak correctly. Good luck to you.
